Shortpants Romance, Silver Dollar, 12pm: In person, Shortpants Romance lead singer Catherine Vien-Labeaume is as quiet and demur as they come. But on stage, the Montrealer is transformed into some kind of drunken banshee demon woman. In our experience, she’s liable to soak you in beer and scream in your face with the kind of don’t-give-a-fuck attitude you’d more commonly associate with someone who spent a decade living under Thatcher.
